Flexible Online Tuition – Weekdays and weekends:
I offer personalised online tuition every weekday and weekend. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your existing skills, I tailor lessons to meet your individual needs and pace.

Norwegian language levels and resources:
Beginners (A1 Level): I use NoW as a foundation for our lessons. https://www.ntnu.edu/now  or  https://www.ntnu.edu/learnnow/info/welcome
NoW is a FREE online Norwegian language course - textbook with online audio and resources from NTNU ( Norwegian University of Science and technology),  which provides a strong introduction to the basic grammar and vocabulary of Norwegian. I still use Norsk på 1,2,3 for students who has purchased this textbook already ( I've changed my use of resources in 2026 due to difficulties in accessing some resources outside of Norway).

Intermediate (B1 - B2 Levels): For higher levels, I use NoW 2 as a foundation, https://www.ntnu.edu/now2/info/velkommen or books like Stein på stein (B1) and Her på berget (B2).

Authentic Resources: You will also get introduced to Norwegian songs, blogs, youtube-vidoes, films and series, and news articles, which will help you connect with the language in real-world contexts. You can read more about this in my blogs as well as my FB posts.

Testimonials

"Lene makes an effort to tailor the lessons to each students interests and level of skill. Once I went to Norway and spoke with the locals I had many compliments on the quality of my Norwegian. This is without a doubt thanks to Lene's encouragement and expertise as a tutor. I strongly recommend her for anyone who would like to learn Norwegian." Lachlan , August 2022.

"I had a wonderful experience with Lene Skaug, who was recommended to me. She translated several important documents, including certificates, bank statements and my driver’s licence. Everything was handled with great care and professionalism and the translations were completed much faster than I expected. Lene was incredibly kind, helpful and quick to respond whenever I had questions. She made the whole process so easy and stress-free, and I felt completely confident that everything was in good hands. I’m truly grateful for all her help and would highly recommend her services." Iselin, September 2026

"Lene has a fantastic approach to teaching and provides unlimited resources to keep me interested, motivated and continually improving with Norwegian. I live here in Norway she works hard both during the lesson and behind the scenes to provide a tailored and flexible class structure during our Skype lessons. I have had a handful of different Norwegian teachers in Australia and in Norway (both in person and via Skype) and Lene continues to produce the most affordable and superior service I have experienced. Takk Lene!!"  Rachel (28), March 2022.

'I began language lessons with Lene in July of 2021 after my wife and I decided we wanted to move to Norway in 2022. In the seven months between beginning lessons and relocating to Oslo, I feel I've been able to attain a good grasp of basic conversational Norwegian, and a firm understanding of the grammar. Lene explains things in an extremely clear and thorough manner, is happy to work at my pace, and is always available to answer questions and clarify difficulties I may be having. Coming originally from Norway, Lene has also provided many invaluable pieces of advice regarding culture and customs, which has made my transition to life here in Oslo much easier. I highly recommend her if you are looking to learn Norwegian!' Wade, March 2022.
