'I began language lessons with Lene in July of 2021 after my wife and I decided we wanted to move to Norway in 2022. In the seven months between beginning lessons and relocating to Oslo, I feel I've been able to attain a good grasp of basic conversational Norwegian, and a firm understanding of the grammar. Lene explains things in an extremely clear and thorough manner, is happy to work at my pace, and is always available to answer questions and clarify difficulties I may be having. Coming originally from Norway, Lene has also provided many invaluable pieces of advice regarding culture and customs, which has made my transition to life here in Oslo much easier. I highly recommend her if you are looking to learn Norwegian!' Wade, March 2022.
Lene has a fantastic approach to teaching and provides unlimited resources to keep me interested, motivated and continually improving with Norwegian. I live here in Norway she works hard both during the lesson and behind the scenes to provide a tailored and flexible class structure during our Skype lessons. I have had a handful of different Norwegian teachers in Australia and in Norway (both in person and via Skype) and Lene continues to produce the most affordable and superior service I have experienced. Takk Lene!! Rachel (28), March 2022.
“ Lene Skaug helped me out with a government accepted translation of my Norwegian birth certificate. Her work has enabled me to use this document in official dealings with the Australian Government. Lene is professional, expedient & most importantly, friendly and approachable.
A very positive experience. Thank you, Lene”

"Lene provides an amazing service for those learning Norwegian. Not only is my daughter practicing speaking her favourite language and being supported to learn more, she's growing in her understanding of the beautiful Norwegian culture, too. And Lene has plenty of interesting activities to keep you learning in between lessons. Thanks, Lene, we're so grateful for you!" Rachel, March 2021, QLD.
"As I have large familial connections in Norway, I’ve been wanting to learn Norwegian for a long time. Learning a second language requires plenty of discipline but the online tuition allows for the flexibility I need to keep up the practice, whilst fitting it in to other areas of life. I have also found it to be a good habit to get into as an adult, to approach something like a language at its foundations and appreciate the difficulty of learning something from scratch again. This is why I have found learning a second language an incredibly worthwhile experience that has helped me in other areas of life and I look forward to being able to communicate better with my family in Norway".

"After almost 5 years of studying Norwegian with Lene, I have learned to appreciate the beauty of the language and to enjoy the many dialects. Since I live in Brisbane, and Lene lives in Sydney, we have only met once. But thanks to Skype and regular email contact this method of distance learning has worked well. It helps that Lene is responsive, diligent, caring and flexible. Since I have family in Norway I am fairly motivated. But when my enthusiasm inevitably falters, her positive approach gets me back on track. From my several failures at learning other languages, I now know that regular learning by whatever means, always being ‘active’ with the language, and a good teacher are vital to success. Long distance learning has lots of advantages for those who don’t have a teacher close by". Philip, (66) Brisbane, 2020.
